I updated an existing map handout for a California wildlife preserve, refreshing the interior design while preserving the original cover to maintain visitor familiarity. The goal was to improve clarity and engagement without losing the recognizable look of the original piece.
All map elements—including animals, pathways, and landscape features—were hand illustrated, creating a cohesive, family-friendly visual style. The final handout balances playful illustration with clear wayfinding, serving as both a functional guide and an engaging takeaway for visitors.
